Lesson 10 : Consciousness PIE

There are 3 main ingredients that activate your power of consciousness: perception, imagination, and expectation.  A positive experience in these mental and emotional elements of your life is absolutely necessary in your pursuit of success.  In fact, whether positive or not, these are the three key pieces of consciousness creation.  They’re energetically linked together in a dynamic process that can actually give you an amazing amount of control over the consequences of your life.

Field Trip 2 : Montauk, NY

Location: Montauk, NY

Description:

Montauk is a census-designated place (CDP) that roughly corresponds to the hamlet (unincorporated community) with the same name located in the town of East Hampton in Suffolk County, New York, United States on the South Shore of Long Island. As of the United States 2000 Census, the CDP population was 3,851 as of 2000.[1] Montauk is the easternmost census-designated place in New York state.

In 1851 a judgment was entered against the Trustees of the Freeholders and Commonalty of the Town of Easthampton and on March 9th, 1852 a deed to Montauk was entered at Riverhead in liber 63 of deeds p. 171 to plaintiffs Henry P. Hedges and others, the claimant equitable owners of Montauk (Proprietors), because their predecessors had contributed the money to purchase Montauk from the native Montaukett Indians in the 1600s. This deed caused the lands covered by the Dongan Patent/Charter to be split leaving the still unsettled lands at Montauk without government. Less than one month later, on April 2nd 1852, a law was passed in Albany incorporating the Proprietors Montauks establishing the corporation of the trustees of Montauk and affirming its right to govern.

In 1879 a legal action in Partition among the Proprietors of Montauk led to Montauk being sold in its entirety at auction to Arthur W. Benson. The deed was entered on the Montauk Trustee Corporation that had been established at chapter 139 of the Laws of 1852. The deed releasing claim to Montauk was entered on March 9th, 1852 Montauk Friends of Olmsted Parks corporation was established in 1994 under the laws of the State of New York to protect an extensive system of beaches and waterfront properties and roadways

Strategically located at the tip of the South Fork peninsula it has been used as an Army, Navy, Coast Guard and Air Force base. Located 20 miles (32 km) off the Connecticut coast, it is home to the largest commercial and recreational fishing fleet in New York State.[2]

The Montauk Point Light was the first lighthouse in New York state and is the fourth oldest active lighthouse in the United States.

Montauk is a major tourist destination and has six state parks. It is particularly famous for its fishing (claiming to have more world saltwater fishing records than any other port in the world)[3] and surfing.

The Deep Hollow Ranch is the oldest cattle ranch in the United States.[4]

Important Info:  At the most eastern tip of Long Island,  this is an easy escape for people in the new york area to find some peace.  With amazing surfing, fishing, and camping it is a great place to get back to nature.  It is 10 minutes from East Hampton and a suggested campground is Hither Hills.  Depending on the season the population varies.  Grab a surfboard and get out of dodge here.

Lesson:  Recharge yourself with nature, it is the best way to re-energize.  The sound of the ocean is the breathe of life, learn to breathe like the tide.

Music Lesson : 1 look at the signs of your life, and enjoy the journey

Life is going to wind around, your path will not be direct.  But this is what makes life worth living, the unpredictability.  The knowledge that you can do anything you want, guide yourself any direction you choose.  So when life has its ups and downs, look to the people around you, they can save you from yourself.

“And all the roads we have to walk are winding, and all the lights that lead us there are blinding. There are many things that I would like to say to you but I don’t know how. Because maybe you’re gonna be the one that saves me, and after all you’re my wonderwall.”

Lesson 9 : Have a Journal

It is vital to record your thoughts on paper.  Having a journal can help you make sense of your world and who you are becoming as a person.  It is also a great place to vent and organize thoughts.  When traveling always carry two books, the one to read and the one to write in.   Having a journal will help you understand your path and where you are going, it contains the clues you need to fulfill your life’s path.  In your journal reflect on people met, actions, thoughts, and happiness and this will ultimately help you find your PATH.   The most important thing to understanding your legacy, is to pay attention to the signs guiding you on this path.  All the signs are there, you just have to look for them, and a journal is a great tool.  Remember to take charge of your life, set your goals early, look for the signs, and live a fulfilled life.

Lesson 8 : We can choose our own attitude at any given time

Remember to always be aware of attitude in any given circumstance, and began to explore how one can change a negative attitude into a positive situation. Always seek to help others and breathe opportunity into any situation.  Attitude has to do with how you look onto others because that is a reflection of how you look on yourself.  Essentially everything we see is a mirror image of our consciousness that we are projecting.  So practice never making someone feel small. Make sure you live a life of love for others and you will in turn have love in your life.  “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms— to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” Always say to yourself that you have divinity within you, you have greatness within you, and you attract into your life which you believe you are.  Choose a positive attitude in order to receive positive things.

Lesson 7 : Problems exist in order to help you

Problems are like brick walls.  They will always be there, to check how badly you want something.  They are like doors which can be opened by the only person who dates to fight back and not accpt defeat.  They will testify whter you are the chosen one or not.  Now its up to you to take this an an opportunity or not.

“If you’re trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I’ve had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it. “

Lesson 6 : Confidence starts now and is in the future, there is no energy you can’t change

No matter what you’ve felt like, or even how you’ve performed in the past, you do have the power to create the confidence you need now.  Theres no energy pattern you cannot change.  Confidence can bring many great things into your world and is a huge magnet for success. Confidence mainly comes from self image.  If you have a positive, healthy self image, you’ll expect the best of yourself, and your consciousness will create that reality. Release limiting, old, self images of the past and make room for new ones.  Always see yourself as smiling, happy, and confident.

Lesson 5: Strip away false needs, expectations, and goals

If we remove false needs, goals, expectations, and purposes, we strip away the need to do much of what we do. We can then be left with an emptiness that can be filled only with what’s necessary, with what’s natural, with what’s beautiful.

A lot of finding zen is being able to do nothing.  In these days the Western culture has poisoned so many people, and made them obsess about money and things.  People amass ridiculous amounts of debt, and try to live out of there means, buying new clothes instead of saving or eating healthy.  Many of us are also not comfortable with not doing.  As soon as we go to sit down, we are distracted by our phones, pull up our email, texting, or Facebook.  People now a days get anxious doing nothing, which really can kill a relationship with your inner self.  People relate doing nothing with laziness, however, they are trading contentment for anxiety and needless stress. DO NOTHING.  Stop measuring your success by goals, accomplishments, possessions.  Just spend at least 5 minutes doing nothing and realize how easy it is to get caught up in a cultural bubble.

Understand what you need… shelter, food, relationships… make life simple to strip away life’s anxieties.

Field Trip: Gimmelwald, Switzerland

Location: Gimmelwald, Switzerland

Description:

Gimmelwald is a small village in the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland, halfway up the mountain between Stechelberg and Mürren, at an elevation of 1363 meters (4472 feet). The Schilthorn cable car stops in Gimmelwald where it is possible to board another cable car which runs between Gimmelwald and Mürren.

In addition to a shop that sells fresh cheeses, Gimmelwald also possesses its own school and firehouse. Farming and tourism are the main occupations. Farmers raise hay on tiny plots of land to feed small herds of cows. Gimmelwald has a few small hotels, bed & breakfasts and the 50-bed Gimmelwald Mountain Hostel. It was saved from development as a ski resort by having it falsely declared an avalanche zone.[1]

The 2003 population of Gimmelwald was 130, most of whom have one of three family names: von Allmen, Feuz, or Brunner.

Important info:  Take the train to Interlochen.  Than journery your way through the valley to the higher elevation.  There is a mountain hostel half way up the mountain  (there is a cable car that goes there).  This place is amazing and you must do the hike that starts at the hostel and ends on the peak opposite of the hostel… there is a bunk there to stay.  Definitely do this hike, than come back to the hostel and soak in the hostel while staring at the stars and the mountain peak you just climbed.

Lesson:  This is an incredibly spiritual place.  When hiking up the alps, I learned that the journey is the goal.  The hard hike was worth all the suffering…. to this day is one of the biggest life changing experiences of my life.  I realized that though it was good to have goals, the real beauty lies in the journey.  And when I sat on top of the mountain and watched the sunset over the glaciers, I realized that one must not get caught up in end results, one must enjoy the journey.  Because at the end of it, death is the only inevitable goal we all share, so enjoy the beauty of life and enjoy the journey, all the journeys, for that is the true goal.

Lesson 4: Have faith that your efforts will be rewarded

Simply having faith is everything. It will soothe your worries of the future, but also will subconsciously help you make the life you dream for. Have faith that if you work hard, do the right things, that things will work out. Even if you do not see immediate results, have faith that the rewards will come, because they will. With a positive attitude, your create a positive reality. So if you ever find yourself discourage, remember to have faith and know that your efforts in everything will be rewarded.

“As your faith is strengthened you will find that there is no longer the need to have a sense of control, that things will flow as they will, and that you will flow with them, to your great delight and benefit.”
